An Interview with Bruce Nash
Why are recommendations so important to us?
First, I’d just like to say a big thank you to all of our clients who have already recommended us; it’s probably the biggest compliment that we can have and means the world to us. It is also vitally important to our continued success and in many ways drives our on-going ability to serve you for the decades to come. As a business we need to continue to grow, so we can recruit new talent, innovate clever and value-add service offerings and continue to provide the excellent client experience that you expect of us.
Could it help your friend/family?
Working with a financial planner can seem daunting to some but will bring about a profound benefit to the quality of retirement many have, how quickly they achieve it, and ensuring that the right plans are in place if the worst was to happen. I’m sure there are many people you can think of, be it friends, family, members of clubs & social groups you know or work colleagues who could benefit from this and the experience that you’ve had in working with us, some perhaps more desperately than others! Often these folk need a little encouragement and help to get started, with a point in the right direction to someone, or a company they can get started with, and that prompt from you to us is what’s needed.
How to recommend?
It’s easy to be reluctant to refer, even when you know someone who will truly benefit from what we do. Money and finance can also be something of a taboo subject or private matter. However, if you’re happy with the service and experience you’ve had working with us and feel that we’ve made a genuine difference that you’ve benefited from, then why not give that “gift” to others and let us help them too? All initial phone calls and meetings are cost and obligation free, and at the very least they’ll get some great impartial advice, their questions answered and a point in the right direction. The best way to recommend us is to simply mention us to your friends, family or loved ones, and if they are interested in speaking with us at all, then give us their contact details and we will get in touch to introduce ourselves and arrange an initial chat with them.
Is there a ‘good time’ in someone’s life to recommend?
Without doubt there are some key milestones in our lives, such as buying a home, selling a business, the loss of a loved one or transitioning into retirement, which are crossroads and key decision points for financial planning. Many of the decisions made at these times are irrevocable and will be impactful for years to come, so it’s important understand options and make the most of the opportunity available. Indeed, knowing what NOT to do, is just as important as knowing what TO do. From this perspective, we work with many 50+’s who are experiencing milestone events, and those who just want to create a financial plan to see them to their destination, wherever and whatever that may be.
