Dedicated to diversity

At Wealth Matters, our vision is to create a business that supports and encourages all people to thrive – both financially and personally. As part of that, we’re fully committed to building a leadership team that promotes diversity and inclusion, and reflects the society we live in. It’s one of the reasons we’ve signed up to HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter.

Women in Finance Charter

The Charter is a commitment by HM Treasury and all the firms that sign up to it to work together to build a more balanced and fair industry. It reflects the government’s aspiration to see gender balance at all levels across financial services firms.

We’re incredibly proud to be a part of it. If you’d like to know more about the Charter and what we’ve pledged to do, you can read more here.

Our Goals

When we joined the Women in Finance Charter in 2019, we were already in a positive position – with 40% of our senior team women. Even better, all of them had joined us in a more junior role and risen through the ranks. So the target we have set ourselves is to maintain or increase that percentage.

By September 2020, that figure had risen to 50%, thanks to another internal promotion.

We are happy to have maintained that 50% figure in 2021 and 2022 as our new members of our management team grow into their new roles.

We’re incredibly proud of our track record and will continue to nurture and support all of the incredible people that make up our team. As we’ve always done, we’ll ensure opportunities for career progression and to become professionally qualified are open to everyone. Our aims and targets are clear, and we will publish our progress annually.
