When are your best ideas born? For me, I am usually so busy at home and work that sometimes I don’t find time to just think! A modern-day conundrum I think most of us can relate to. Our new Fundraising Challenge, forcing me to go on longer walks, has allowed for more ‘thinking time’ and my creativity has since flourished.

Julian has always been vocal about the importance of getting outdoors to clear your head and has been an advocate of walks, as this is where he finds his best ideas. With Toby alongside for every journey, he goes to clear any ‘brain fog’, making room for more ideas to appear.

It has occurred to us that Toby (without his knowing) is Julian’s ‘Creative Partner’. Without Toby as a reason for daily expeditions, would we as a business be able to benefit off Julian’s creativity as much as we do now? Would he go on his daily walks regardless of rain, snow, a busy schedule with a business to run and a family at home? Probably not!

Although we won’t be changing Toby’s title from ‘Morale Officer’ to ‘Creative Partner’, we might just give Toby a raise with a pair of his own human socks to bury in his office bed (a favourite past-time of Toby’s should anyone have socks in a gym bag he can dig for!).

We give a challenge to all our clients, to try to find time every day to get outdoors, clear the mind and see what ideas can be born. To make it more fun, take a 4-legged friend on the way.
